Living in the past can be a real problem, squeezing the joy out of here and now. Consider that “the past” is five minutes ago. It’s so tempting to complain and gossip about “the thing she did” earlier this morning, but gossip is living in the past. So is being pissed off. Have you ever tried the practice of Being Here Now, in this moment? Try pretending you have no memories of the way “s/he treated you,” instead giving your fullest attention to how you are Right Now. How can you make this moment exactly what you love?

Disneyland Wisdom Cards

Ask a question of the cards such as:

  • What do I need to do to shift so I can qualify for a promotion?
  • What can I learn from this unfortunate circumstance?
  • What is another viewpoint of this situation?
  • How can I be a more loving human being?
  • What is getting in the way of my happiness?
  • What are the energies around this choice that I should be aware of?

When you draw the card, consider how what it says applies to your situation. And perhaps draw another card for further clarification.

I love metaphor. So when a friend challenged me to find the hidden meanings in my beloved Disneyland, I took her up on the challenge. Disneyland Wisdom explores 45 rides, attractions and snacks and presents you with symbolic lessons to contemplate.

The Disneyland Wisdom Cards provide you with a whimsical way to query insights into your day. Dare to ask the cards a question?
